W.S. Merwin gave his inaugural reading at the Library of Congress on October 25, 2010. The 17th Poet Laureate, at age 83, Merwin is one of the most widely read and distinguished poets of our time.
Joined by friends, family and lifetime supporters, Merwin read select poems to a packed house. “It was marvelous,” he said.
