Today, The Merwin Conservancy’s founder W.S. Merwin has released his newest book of poetry, Garden Time, a collection of over 60 new poems that The Washington Post calls “vibrant and engrossing” and Allen Cooper of Numero Cinq Magazine says “tends the garden of compassion and sudden awareness that is inside all of us”. W.S. Merwin’s long time publisher, Copper Canyon Press, says book is “gorgeous, mindful and life-affirming”, in which “he channels energy from animated sounds and memories to remind us that ‘the only hope is to be the daylight’”.
In celebration of the release of Garden Time, for the next week, we are offering a special gift to donors who generously contribute $100 or more to The Merwin Conservancy’s efforts to preserve and steward the living legacy of W.S. Merwin. With your generous gift, you can help bring Merwin’s values and ideals – those illustrated in his works of poetry and in his restorative planting work in the palm forest – into the broader community for generations to come.
All donors giving $100 or more by 12 midnight HST, Tuesday, September 19th, will receive* a beautiful hardcover copy of Garden Time with a conservancy bookmark – a special gift of thanks from The Merwin Conservancy to commemorate the release of W.S. Merwin’s latest book of poetry.
Enjoy your reading, and thank you for celebrating with us!
